Celebrating achievements of students at KSBL
KSBL Students won the 4th SECP Inter-University Stock Evading Competition, organized by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in the year 2018. The contest allowed students from the country’s top business institutions to practice and implement quality trading and risk management strategies followed by sophisticated money management.
KSBL students won the Neuro-Warfare competition in 2017, a contest that is the consolidation of three different competitions that are related to different aspects of the concepts taught in classrooms. The competition provided them with the opportunity to share their business ideas.
KSBL MBA students won the runner-up title in the Toyota Indus Motors ‘Battle of the Brains’ case-study competition in 2017. The theme of this contest was to propose a business model for the automobile enterprise to enter into the auto-finance & insurance industry. Solutions proposed by the teams were presented to a panel of judges in a ten-minute pitch followed by a rigorous questioning session.
KSBL Students won PKR 0.5 million plus $200,000 of seed capital in the Aman Clinics Accelerator, in the year 2015. With an innovative idea of mobile health clinics which included community health workers and medical professionals, KSBL’s Team ‘Alchemy’ competed with a total of 112 teams in the competition.
KSBL bagged the first award in the All Pakistan Business Plan Competition, in the year 2015. The event was organized by Virtual University in which 65 teams participated in the final round. As part of the competition, the top ten business plans were selected to contest for the top three cash prizes.
KSBL students brought Winner’s Trophy from the CFA Research Challenge, organized by the CFA Society Pakistan. The institution has won this competition a total five times, out of which four were consecutive wins. KSBL students have won this trophy in the year 2014 and consecutively from the years 2017 to 2020.
KSBL won the flagship marketing simulation competition of LUMS Global Management Club, in the years 2013, 2014, and 2017. In this competition, participants from different universities were introduced to Markstrat, a software that evaluated group dynamics and strategy-making processes of players under pressure, time, and budgetary constraints.
