WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO TAKE CARE OF OUR MENTAL WELL-BEING?
Health is not merely an absence of disease, it is rather a state of sound physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being. We all struggle with challenges of different forms in our personal and academic/professional life; therefore, it is essential that we put efforts to improve and maintain our mental hygiene. Mental health affects the way we view the world around us, approach problems and situations and how we feel about ourselves and others. Therefore, it is important that when need arises, one must not hesitate to take professional assistance. KSBL has recently established Wellness center exclusively for our current students, faculty, and staff. The purpose of the center is to provide one-on-one counselling services to everyone ensuring empathy, safe environment, unconditional positive regard, and acceptance.
Counselling sessions are non-directive in nature. It is a collaborative process where the client works with the psychologist in identifying their key concerns and appropriate solutions for them.
